How are you different from a real estate agent?
We are very different. Realtors list and sell properties on the MLS, take a percentage of the sale price, and require you to make your home "marketable" beforehand. We purchase your properties directly from you, we do not collect fees or commissions, we do not require that you make any repairs to the property, and we cover all closing costs. We will always inform you if we believe that a realtor is your best option.
What kind of properties do you buy?
HBH buys single and multi-family residences, whether beautiful or not, whether occupied or not, whether owned free and clear or not. If we cannot purchase your property, we will help you to accomplish your goals by connecting you with somebody who will.
Where do you buy properties?
Hewlett Buys Homes is looking to acquire properties in the Tri-State Area (NY, NJ, CT) and PA. However, we are available to assist you even if you are located outside of these areas.
How do you determine the price to offer on my property?
We study the location, identify current condition and necessary repairs, and compare to properties with similar qualities, amongst other things. We are fully transparent and will share with you the justification of any offer that we make.
There's a vacant house in my neighborhood. Can I refer the owner to your company?

We are not agents, and we do not list your property on the Multiple Listing Service on your behalf. We purchase your property with the intention of keeping it as an investment property or selling it direct to a future homeowner.

We are able to pay the fair market value for your property. To reiterate this, we are able to pay what the market demands for the quality of your property and the urgency in your situation. Some transactions call for a discounted offer, to account for the speed and convenience we offer. In other transactions, we can make a higher offer if the homeowner and the Company can agree on favorable terms. It is our job as real estate professionals to ensure that we craft the best solution for your needs.
